Pro-Life Mississippi is an organization of diverse and caring Christians. We are drawn together by our commitment to the sanctity of human life from fertilization to natural death. On behalf of those who cannot speak for themselves, we are a voice against abortion, infanticide, euthanasia and embryonic stem cell research. Our concern is to reach the state with the truth about these issues by educating its citizens, influencing political change within the government of Mississippi and taking the pro-life message directly to those who threaten innocent life. Weekend retreats offer you a supportive, confidential and non-judgmental environment where women and men can express, release and reconcile painful post-abortive emotions to begin the process of restoration, renewal and healing.

Most abortions are coerced. In 1988, Dr. David Reardon founded the Elliot Institute in order to conduct original research on the effects of abortion on women, men, families and society. With a lot of hard work and the help of our friends, we are now one of the leading organizations researching the impact of abortion. In addition, we serve as a major resource for organizations around the world who are concerned about protecting the rights of women and their unborn children. Our mission also includes educating others about abortion's injustice, trauma, and risk to all involved, and raising This mission has led us to undertake numerous efforts in the areas of research, education, and advocacy awareness of the urgent need for meaningful support and healing.

Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute (C-FAM)

They work to preserve international law by discrediting socially radical policies at the United Nations and other international institutions. C-FAM's core values are; Fidelity to the teachings of the Church, Perseverance, Professionalism and Truth Telling. C-FAM is the most effective prolife organization combating the promotion of the Culture of Death at the United Nations.

Population Research Institute

The Population Research Institute is a non-profit research group whose goals are to expose the myth of overpopulation, to expose human rights abuses committed in population control programs, and to make the case that people are the world's greatest resource. Our growing, global network of pro-life groups spans over 30 countries. The Population Research Institute' mission is:

  • 1. Debunk the myth of overpopulation, which cheapens human life and paves the way for abusive population control programs.
  • 2. Expose the relentless promotion of abortion, abortifacient contraception, and chemical and surgical sterilization in misleadingly labeled "population stabilization", "family planning", and "reproductive health" programs.
  • 3. Defund these programs by exposing the coercion, deception, and racism inherent in them.
  • 4. Emphasize that people are the most valuable resource on the planet, the one resource we cannot do without.
  • 5. Promote pro-natal and pro-family attitudes, laws, and policies worldwide.
  • 6. Encourage programs to help the poor become agents in their own development.

Human Life International (HLI)

Concentrates on training and empowering local prolife activists in 160 countries. Human Life International is a Catholic apostolate seeking to respond to our calling as followers of Jesus Christ by building a Culture of Life and of Love around the world through education, outreach, advocacy, and service. HLI believes the specific concerns and needs of local communities can be best identified by those who live there. In fulfilling this mission we strive to train, organize and equip pro-life leaders around the world. While we are completely faithful to the Holy Father and the Magisterium, we are also ecumenical and work with people of all faiths to advance the cause of life. Since our founding in 1981 by Reverend Paul Marx, O.S.B., HLI has sponsored more than 70 international conferences and over 50 conferences in the United States. By means of our pro-life missionary trips, we've also advised, inspired and trained pro-life leaders, families, seminarians and students in approximately160 foreign lands.

The Word of Life newsletter is a monthly liturgical resource for parishes containing prayer intentions, bulletin quotes, and occassional homily suggestions. This seems like an ideal resource to provide to your pastor to help him integrate prolife issues and prayers at mass and in parish communications such as your parish website and weekly bulletin.

The Life Issues Forum newsletter is produced biweekly by members of the USCCB Prolife Committee, staff and occasional guest journalists.
